‘Kanguva’: Suriya-Siva film gets a premiere date on Prime Video
Prime Video has announced the worldwide streaming premiere date of Kanguva.Starring Suriya and directed by Siva, the movie will drop on the streaming platformon December 08, 2024.
Produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green, along with UV Creations, the fantasy-action hit the screens on November 14, 2024. The movie also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.
The film will exclusively stream on Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. “Kanguva follows a fearless bounty hunter, Francis (Suriya), who unexpectedly crosses paths with Zeta, a lost child with whom he shares a cosmic connection that goes back over a thousand years,” says the official description of the movie.
“Trying to decipher his connection with Zeta while shielding him from a dangerous cabal, Francis begins experiencing mysterious flashbacks of his past life as Kanguva, the son of a chieftain from one of the five islands near the southern Indian subcontinent in 1070 AD, who defends his people against relentless attacks from Roman soldiers and feuding neighbours. As Francis tries to piece together these memory flashes, he fights to overcome the threat to Zeta and himself before it is too late.”

Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the movie while Vetri Palanisamy is the cinematographer. Nishad Yusuf is the editor. A couple of weeks before the release of Kanguva, Yusuf was found dead in his apartment in Kochi.
