Udhayanidhi Stalin’s retort was not for Vijay but VCK’s Aadhav Arjuna

Tamil star actor Vijay has been open about his political ambitions for quite sometime now, and his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has passed 26 resolutions against BJP and DMK’s rule and policies as part of its mandate. Since Vijay and TVK are also in competition for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections, current Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin was asked about Vijay’s stance against dynasty politics.

 

Stalin’s DMK, has had three generation of Stalin family leaders and Vijay made this take at his first big political conference in October, 2024. However Udhayanidhi Stalin denied it an acknowledgement when he recently said, “I do not keep up with cinema news”.  Udhay’s statement was taken as a ‘disrespect’ to politician Vijay, as the Deputy CM slighted a full blown political conference as ‘cinema news’. 

 

Vijay recently was at a book launch event and shared a dais with Aadhav Arjuna, the general secretary of Tol. Thirumavazhan’s Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) party. VCK is currently in an alliance with Stalin’s DMK however Aadhav Arjuna echoed Vijay’s stance against dynasty politics when he said, “Monarchy exists here. Dynasty politics must be abolished in 2026″. Udhay’s retort to the same was,

 

 

Many confused Udhay’s retort for Aadhav Arjuna, as a retort for actor Vijay. VCK Party leader Tol Thirumavazhan for his part has said that the party has asked for an explanation from Aadhva Arjuna for his anti-DMK statement at the moment.
