Mr Bhaarath: Lokesh Kanagaraj thanks Rajinikanth & AVM for the title

SP Muthuraman directed Mr. Bharath (1986) is a Tamil adaptation of the Hindi language action drama Trishul (1978), written by Salim-Javed, directed by Yash Chopra, and starring Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. 

 

Mr. Bharath is known for the iconic screen pairing of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj, who incidentally have reunited after 37 years on a Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial titled Coolie. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently announced a production venture of his own, and the movie is titled Mr. Bhaarath with an additional a. 

Following a fun promo featuring comedy YouTubers turned film debutants Bhaarath (lead actor), and Niranjan (writer, director), Lokesh Kanagaraj thanked ‘Superstar Rajinikanth’ and Mr. Bharath producers AVM Productions, for giving the title rights to his production banner G Squad. 

 

 

Mr. Bhaarath also stars Samyuktha Viswanathan, Bala Saravanan, Nidhi Pradeep, R. Sunder Rajan, Linga, Adithya Kathir among others, with Pranav Muniraj for music, Om Narayan for cinematography, Dhivakar Dennis for edits, Bhavna Govardan for art, Navadevi Rajkumar for costume design, Azhar for choreography, and Amrin Abubakar for stunts.
