Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25: Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh records fastest List A century by an Indian

Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh recorded the fastest List A hundred by an Indian during a Vijay Hazare Trophy game in Ahmedabad, against Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

Anmolpreet reached the three-figure mark in just 35 balls. The Punjab batter’s effort is also the third-fastest List A ton, only behind Australia’s Jake Fraser-McGurk and South Africa’s AB de Villiers.

The previous fastest List hundred by an Indian was Yusuf Pathan’s 40-ball effort, for Baroda against Maharashtra in the 2009-10 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Anmolpreet took on the Arunachal Pradesh bowling attack with 12 fours and nine sixes as he guided Punjab to a nine-wicket win.
