India Women registers its second-biggest win in WODIs

India Women registered its second-biggest WODI win in terms of runs, with a 211-run win in the first match against West Indies at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday.

After being put to bat, India posted 314/9 at the end of 50 overs, its second-highest WODI total at home. Opener Smriti Mandhana was the highest run-getter for the host, smashing a 102-ball 91.

In reply, West Indies was bundled out for 103, thanks to a five-wicket haul from Renuka Thakur. Titas Sadhu and Deepti Sharma picked one wicket each while Priya Mishra got two.

The biggest win for India in WODIs came in 2017, when it beat New Zealand by a whopping 249 runs.

India had two fifty-run partnerships and a first-wicket 110-run stand between Smriti and debutant Pratika Rawal. Zaida James shone with the ball for West Indies, picking five wickets.
