Paulo Dybala becomes third-highest scoring Argentine in Serie A history

Paulo Dybala on Sunday became the third-highest Argentine player in Serie A history after scoring twice in Roma’s 5-0 win over Parma at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The 31-year-old overtook Gonzalo Higuain’s tally of 125 goals with his goals and now is only behind Gabriel Batistuta (184 goals) and Hernan Crespo (153 goals) in the list of Argentine players with most goals in Italian league.

He started his club in Italy with Palermo 2012 and then moved to Juventus in 2015 and then made a switch to Roma in 2022.

The Argentine World Cup-winner has 127 goals in Serie A.

Dybala also has four goals for Argentina in 40 appearances.

He made his debut for La Albiceleste on October 13, 2015, coming off the bench to replace Carlos Tevez in the 75th minute during a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Paraguay.

He made a late defensive clearance in his team’s defensive area, and scored the second penalty in the shoot-out as his team eventually defeated France 4–2 to win the FIFA World Cup 2022.
