Renuka Singh Thakur becomes fourth Indian pacer to take a five-for in women’s ODIs
Renuka Singh Thakur joined the club of Indian pacers with five-wicket hauls in women’s ODI during the series opener against West Indies in Vadodara on Sunday.
Renuka picked 5-29 in 10 overs as the host defeated West Indies by a massive margin of 211 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Purnima Chaudhary was the first Indian pacer to pick five wickets in a women’s ODI. She achieved the feat against West Indies in Faridabad in 1997.
