Less than a week after his sensational unbeaten knock of 201 runs off 97 balls, Uttar Pradesh’s Sameer Rizvi smashed another double century in the ongoing Men’s U23 State A Trophy on Wednesday.

Rizvi stayed unbeaten on 202 off 95 balls as UP chased 407 against Vidarbha in Vadodara with 52 balls and eight wickets remaining.

The 21-year-old hit 10 fours and 18 sixes in his innings. This was his fourth century in the ongoing competition. He is the top run-scorer with 728 runs in six innings.

The flamboyant batter first made headlines when Chennai Super Kings signed him during the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in 2023 for a whopping sum of Rs. 8.40 crore.

He scored 51 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 118 during the 2024 season. At the mega auction for the 2025 season, Rizvi was roped in by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 90 lakh.
