Karun Nair breaks List A record for most runs in sequence without being dismissed

Vidarbha batter Karun Nair broke the List A record for most runs scored in sequence without being dismissed during the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament, on Friday.

Karun broke the record with a hundred against Uttar Pradesh at the Vizzy Stadium in Vizianagaram. The right-handed batter was finally dismissed for 112, for the first time in the tournament, with his unbeaten run ending at 542.

This was the 33-year-old’s fourth hundred of the tournament and third on the trot.

During the course of his ton against UP, Karun went past the previous record — 527 runs — held by James Franklin.
