AUS vs IND, 5th Test: Jasprit Bumrah goes off field injured on day two

In a big blow to Indian team, Jasprit Bumrah walked off the field after feeling discomfort on day two of the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Sydney on Saturday.

The live visuals from official broadcasters saw Bumrah leaving the stadium premises for a scan in his training kit with two support staff members.

Bumrah initially left the field 30 minutes before Lunch but later came back to the field. In the post-lunch session, Bumrah just one over before once again going off the field.

With no Rohit Sharma in the playing XI, Virat Kohli has taken over the captaincy duties in Bumrah’s absence.

Bumrah has so far picked two wickets in his 10 overs in this game. Overall, the right-arm quick has picked 32 wickets in this series. India’s next best bowler in this series is Mohammed Siraj with 18 scalps.
