ISL 2024-25: Sotirio leaves Kerala Blasters after two injury-ridden years

Forward Jaushua Sotirio has left Kerala Blasters after a two-year spell with the Indian Super League outfit, the club announced on Monday.

“Kerala Blasters FC and Jaushua Sotirio have mutually agreed to part ways, bringing his association with the club to an end,” the club said in a statement.

The Australian striker came to India ahead of the 2023-24 season but an ankle injury in July 2023 kept him out of most of the campaign.

The player went on to not feature for the Blasters in any competitive match.

The Blasters now sit in ninth position with 17 points, just three off the top-six. It recently beat Punjab FC 1-0 with Morrocan Noah Sadaoui converting from the penalty spot.

Next, Kerala Blasters will host Odisha FC in the league on Monday, January 13.
