Australia’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy-winning team members set to feature in Big Bash League: Full list of players, details

The ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) season will be bolstered by the inclusion of some of the members of the Australian Test team, which recently beat India 3-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Sean Abbott (Sydney Sixers), Alex Carey (Adelaide Strikers), Sam Konstas (Sydney Thunder), Mitchell Marsh (Perth Scorchers), Jhye Richardson (Perth Scorchers) and Beau Websters (Melbourne Stars) will be available for the rest of the BBL season.

Steve Smith (Sydney Sixers) will be available for three matches from January 11. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne (Brisbane Heat) will only be availble for their team’s last home game on January 16.

Scott Boland (Melbourne Stars), Pat Cummins (Sydney Thunder), Josh Hazlewood (Sydney Sixers), Travis Head (Adelaide Strikers), Nathan Lyon (Melbourne Renegades), and Mitchell Starc (Sydney Sixers) will not take any part in the BBL.

The eight-team tournament began on December 15 and will run till January 27. The league stage will conclude on January 19 and will be followed by four knockout games.
