Trisha Expresses Deep Respect for the Malayalam Film Industry

Trisha, the popular actress known for her unique and intelligent choices in cinema, recently expressed her love for Malayalam films. During a press meet held for her latest movie “Identity,” which stars Tovino Thomas, Trisha, and Vinay in lead roles, she shared her thoughts. Speaking at the event, Trisha said, “I have always had great respect for Malayalam cinema. Their movies are very different and intelligent. I’ve always wanted to act in at least one Malayalam film each year.” “Identity,” a crime thriller released on January 2, has been receiving positive reviews since its debut. Trisha mentioned that she connected with director Akhil at the right time and was fascinated by the way he narrated the story. She also spoke highly of Tovino Thomas, calling him the “Lucky Star of Kerala,” and shared her camaraderie with Vinay, with whom she previously worked in the film “Endrendrum Punnagai.”

Trisha added that the shooting atmosphere was fun and lively, which she believes is crucial for a successful film. While the film’s final reception remains unpredictable, she is happy that “Identity” has been receiving acclaim from day one and is gaining traction in Tamil Nadu as well with increasing screens. She emphasized the strong connection between Tamil and Malayalam cinema, stating that many actors work across both industries and share mutual admiration. She concluded by expressing her pride in being a part of this film and her joy at starting the New Year with a success.
