Women’s Ashes: Full schedule, dates, venues, points system, squads – All you need to know
The multi-format Women’s Ashes series between Australia and England will begin on January 12 with the first of three One-Day Internationals.
The one-dayers will be followed by three T20 Internationals before the series concludes with a one-off day-night Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Unlike the men’s Ashes, the women’s event is a points-based series since 2013. An ODI and T20I win earns two points, while, in the case of a tie or no result, both teams share a point each. A Test victory is awarded with four points, and a draw results in the two teams sharing two points each.
The team with the most points at the end of the multi-format series is declared the winner. Australia has held the trophy since 2015.
