A.R. Rahman Announces Awards for Talented Musicians

Renowned music composer A.R. Rahman has announced the introduction of the ‘Bharat Maestro’ awards in collaboration with his institution, KM Music Conservatory. These awards aim to honor individuals who have excelled in the field of Indian traditional music.

A.R. Rahman recently celebrated his birthday, receiving wishes from prominent figures in politics and the entertainment industry. On this occasion, he revealed plans to celebrate Indian classical music and its practitioners by bestowing these special awards.

The awards are categorized into three divisions: recognition for young music talents, lifetime achievement awards for educators, and honors for pioneers preserving traditional music. A guiding committee featuring eminent personalities like Asha Bhosle, Amjad Ali Khan, Bombay Jayashri, and Ajay Chakraborty will oversee the selection process. The advisory team includes experts such as Ila Paliwal, Sai Shravanam, Bharat Bala, Fathima Rafiq, Khatija Rahman, Adam, and Clint.

Apart from trophies, awardees will receive cash prizes and unique opportunities to perform internationally, courtesy of collaborations led by A.R. Rahman.
