Messi and Argentina likely to visit Kerala in late 2025
Lionel Messi and the Argentina men’s national football team is likely to visit Kerala in the later half of 2025, the state’s Sports Minister said in a public event.
“For seven days from October 25 to November 2, Messi will be in Kerala. Apart from the friendly match, he will be on a public dias for twenty minutes to see you all,” V. Abdurahiman said, which followed loud cheers from the gathering in the event in Kozhikode.
However, the minister may have gotten the dates mixed up.
According to FIFA’s 2025 international calendar, there’s no such window for the dates spoken about by the minister. However, there are two windows towards the end of the year – October 6 to 14 and November 10 to 18.
Last November, Abdurahiman had announced in a press conference the news of Argentina visiting the southern state and playing two friendly matches in Kochi.
