Spanish Super Cup final: Barcelona thrashes Real Madrid 5-2 to clinch title

Barcelona secured the Spanish Super Cup title after beating arch-rival Real Madrid 5-2 in the final at the King Abdullah Sports City Staidum in Jeddah on Sunday.

Captain Raphinha scored a brace while Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde also got on the scoresheet to help Hansi Flick secure his first title as Barcelona manager.

Kylian Mbappe gave Real Madrid an early lead in the first half, but Barcelona replied with four goals to head into the break with a 4-1 lead.

Raphinha added a fifth in the opening minutes of the second half while Rodrygo converted a freekick at the hour mark after Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny was sent off.
