VIDEO- India coach post not for me, tough job to take on: Jonty Rhodes

South African cricket legend Jonty Rhodes ruled out the possibility of becoming an India head coach citing the demanding nature and chock-a-block schedule the Indian team has throughout the year as it would be something he would happily turn down.

Rhodes also dismissed speculations of having applied for the post currently held by Gautam Gambhir.

“I applied in the past as a fielding coach once before, this time around when Gautam Gambhir came in there were a lot of speculations that I was actually getting involved, I had not put my name forward,”

“So from the point of view that India have the most experienced team every year and they play the most cricket every year, its probably something I won’t be able to take on in the future, its very demanding and a tough job to have so at the moment if an opportunity came up I would not even throw my hat in the ring,” Rhodes told reporters on Friday.
