Vijay 69: A Thrilling Remake of Bhagwant Kesari

Vijay’s upcoming movie “Vijay 69” has stirred discussions, with recent comments from actor VTV Ganesh hinting it could be a remake of “Bhagavanth Kesari.” During an event before the release of “Sankranthikku Vasthunnam,” VTV Ganesh claimed that Vijay had watched “Bhagavanth Kesari” five times and suggested Anil Ravipudi as the director. However, Anil initially declined but later joined the venture upon Vijay’s insistence. Ganesh’s remarks inadvertently put the “Vijay 69” team in a tense spot.

Attempting to clarify, director Anil Ravipudi stated, “There is no official confirmation about ‘Vijay 69’ being the remake of ‘Bhagavanth Kesari.’ Vijay Sir is a superstar I deeply respect. Although scheduling didn’t align earlier, my admiration for his craft remains unchanged. I even briefly worked on ‘Varisu.’” Despite Anil’s explanation, the videos of this interaction have gone viral, solidifying speculations about the film’s connection with “Bhagavanth Kesari.”

The makers of “Vijay 69” are reportedly modifying the story to suit Tamil audiences. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film features Vijay, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Mamitha Baiju. Produced by KVN Productions with music composed by Anirudh, this project has garnered significant buzz.
