Vidaamuyarchi title was chosen by Ajith! Release date, Trailer update:
Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar in the lead is a Tamil adaptation of the Hollywood road thriller Breakdown (1997), and the movie is all set to release in January, 2025. Vidaamuyarchi writer, director Magizh Thirumeni recently opened up about the film to a Tamil magazine, and the filmmaker revealed there that the title of the movie was chosen by Ajith himself.
Starting with Veeram (2014), it has been a wide belief that Ajith movies beginning with a V in its title has worked well for the actor. Case in point, Vedalam (2015) and Viswasam (2019). There have also been instances where the V sentiment didn’t quite pan out for Ajith Kumar, with films like Vivegam (2017), and Valimai (2022).
Nevertheless, Magizh Thirumeni was asked by the Kumudam reporters if choosing Vidaamuyarchi as a movie title was a conscious choice. The director stated, “To be honest, it was Ajith Sir who selected the Vidaamuyarchi movie title. Be it in context of the film’s story or for other reasons, there couldn’t have been a better choice for the title.”
A Lyca Productions venture, Vidaamuyarchi is currently gearing up for a trailer release. The movie which was delayed due to a copyright snag, are soon expected to get clearance from the Breakdown makers. Vidaamuyarchi is most likely release on January 30, 2025 (Thursday).
