Pro Kabaddi League: Tamil Thalaivas announces Sanjeev Baliyan as head coach ahead of PKL 12
Tamil Thalaivas announced the appointment of Sanjeev Baliyan as the head coach for the upcoming Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League on Friday.
Baliyan, who successfully led Jaipur Pink Panthers to the PKL 9 triumph has been the head coach of the Jaipur-based team for the past four seasons. He brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the team.
With this appointment, Tamil Thalaivas returns to a traditional coaching structure, comprising a head coach and an assistant coach.
The decision comes a day after it parted ways with the former coaches Udayakumar and Cheralathan Dharmaraj.
Speaking about the changes, CEO Shushen Vashishth stated, “As mentioned earlier, we are committed to a fresh start for Season 12. We have implemented several internal changes and believe the appointment of Sanjeev Baliyan as head coach will bring a renewed energy and perspective to the team and its players.”
Baliyan, a seasoned coach in the PKL, boasts an impressive track record, having clinched two league titles with the Jaipur Pink Panthers and the Patna Pirates. His tenure with Jaipur Pink Panthers was marked by consistent team performance under his guidance.
He was sacked by Pink Panthers after the end of PKL 11.
