Sundar C expresses frustration despite hits at Madha Gaja Raja event

Director Sundar C expressed his thoughts emotionally at the success event of the movie ‘Madha Gaja Raja.’ Even after giving numerous hits, he believes his name is not recognized among the list of “good directors.” Sundar C highlighted his dissatisfaction with the lack of significant appreciation for his contributions to Tamil cinema, despite delivering commercial successes that benefit producers and entertain audiences.

‘Madha Gaja Raja,’ starring Vishal and Santhanam, faced a long delay since its production began in 2012 and was first planned to release during Pongal in 2013. Due to production house issues, the movie’s release was postponed for 12 years and finally hit screens on January 10. Made on a budget of Rs. 15 crores, the film managed to gross Rs. 30 crores within the first six days of release, drawing widespread public interest.

Sundar C thanked actor Vishal for his relentless effort in overcoming numerous challenges during the making of the film. He dedicated the film’s success to Vishal’s hard work. The director also expressed his gratitude toward audiences who have supported his work for the past 30 years. Despite his emotional admittance that he feels a lack of rightful acknowledgment in the Tamil film industry, he firmly stated he will continue focusing on his responsibilities and delivering engaging movies.

Actor Vishal, who was also present, shared his excitement about the long-awaited release of the film finally becoming a reality. As per industry predictions, the movie has strong potential to cross Rs. 50 crores in revenue shortly, given its rising popularity.
