The Indian women’s Kho Kho team, led by captain Priyanka Ingle, made history by winning the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup. Ingle expressed her pride and joy at fulfilling her responsibilities as captain and leading her team to victory.
“We will lift the trophy in a while from now, I feel really good and proud that I as the captain of the first ever Kho Kho World Cup and fulfilled my responsibilities well and my team also supported me well throughout, and our dream of winning the trophy has come true.” she told PTI Videos in an exclusive interview
Ingle praised the Nepalese team for their skills and strength, acknowledging that they provided a tough challenge in the final match.
“Today’s experience was good, Nepal also played well, they have skills and strength since they have also played before and they gave us a good fight,” says Indian Kho Kho Captain Priyanka Ingle on winning inaugural Kho Kho World Cup,“ she said
The Indian women’s team emerged champion in the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup with a dominant 78-40 victory in the summit clash against Nepal here on Sunday.
On a memorable night at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium here, India produced a masterclass of speed, strategy and skill, dishing out a clinical show.
