Insights into Premalu 2 Plot Plans and Expectations

Plans for the shooting of the sequel to the Malayalam hit film ‘Premam’ have been revealed. The original film, which was a major success in Malayalam cinema, prompted the immediate announcement of its second part. However, details about its filming schedule and release date were unclear until recently.

It has now been confirmed that the shooting of ‘Premam 2’ will commence in June, with a target release set for December. Preparations are in full swing, with locations being finalized and actors being selected.

The production house Bhavana Studios, which produced the original ‘Premam’ film, has officially confirmed this information. The announcement was made during an event promoting their upcoming film ‘BROMANCE,’ set to release on February 14.

Directed by Girish AD, ‘Premam’ originally launched in theaters on February 9 last year. The film stars Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju, with music by Vishnu Vijay. It also features appearances by Mathew Thomas and Shyam Pushkaran. The movie was produced by Fahadh Faasil, Shyam Pushkaran, and Dileesh Pothan.

‘Premam’ received critical acclaim and resonated well with fans. Its overwhelming success led to its dubbing in Tamil and Telugu. Produced on a budget of less than ₹10 crore, the film grossed approximately ₹130 crore worldwide. Currently, it is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
