Oscar-Winning Actress Faces Vision Loss in Inspiring Journey
Renowned English actress Judi Dench, famous for portraying ‘M’ in the James Bond films, won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1998 film “Shakespeare in Love.” She has also acted in notable films such as “Mrs. Brown” (1997), “Iris” (2001), “Notes on a Scandal” (2006), and “GoldenEye” (1995), along with appearances in television series.
At 91 years old, Judi Dench has revealed that she has lost her vision, making it challenging for her to attend events independently. She stated, “I have lost my sight. Someone has to always be with me to assist, or I might fall. Due to this, I have not been acting in films.” Back in 2012, she had already disclosed that her eyesight was gradually deteriorating.
