Telugu Film Producer Dil Raju’s Home and Office Face Third Day IT Raid

Hyderabad: For the third consecutive day, income tax officials continue to conduct raids at the residences and offices of film producer Dil Raju, the makers of Pushpa – 2, and financial institutions supporting them. The raids are aimed at investigating financial discrepancies and sources of income involved in their movie productions.

The film Pushpa – 2 reportedly achieved significant box office success, as announced by its production house Mythri Movie Makers. Similarly, actor Vijay’s Varisu and Ram Charan-Shankar’s Game Changer drew substantial revenue, with the latter being praised for a strong start. Meanwhile, Dil Raju also produced other notable films, including the Telugu release Sarkar Sampathi Ki Osthunthunnaam featuring Venkatesh during the Pongal festival season.

The income tax department suspects irregularities in the revenue declaration by Dil Raju, Mythri Movie Makers, and Mango Media, the financiers behind several productions. With 55 teams deployed, the raids have uncovered unaccounted properties worth over ₹300 crores, gold ornaments valued at ₹3 crores, silver assets, and ₹26 crores in cash. Furthermore, the income tax officials are scrutinizing banking transactions and lockers belonging to Dil Raju, his family members, and associated production companies.

Sources reveal significant discrepancies between declared income and the funds traced in their bank accounts. Officials have intensively examined bank lockers as well. The probe is poised to result in formal cases and notices being issued against the parties involved.
