Australian Open 2025: Defending champion Sinner beats Shelton, sets up final against Zverev

Jannik Sinner reached his second Australian Open final in a row on Friday as he took down Ben Shelton 7-6(2), 6-2, 6-2 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

Italy’s Sinner, the defending champion and top seed, will face Germany’s Alexander Zverev in Sunday’s summit clash between the two best players in the world.

Earlier in the day, 10-time champion Novak Djokovic retired from his semifinal against Zverev due to an injury after losing the first set 7-6(5).
