Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann extends contract until Euro 2028
Julian Nagelsmann extended his contract as Germany’s head coach until the end of the 2028 European Championship, the German Football Association (DFB) announced on Friday.
Nagelsmann said his experience at Euro 2024, hosted by Germany, convinced him to stay for the 2026 World Cup and the Euros two years later.
“We are on the right path and it is not over yet. We want to continue to develop. We want to win titles,” the 37-year-old said in a statement.
The former Bayern Munich coach took charge of the German national team in September 2023 on what was initially meant to be a short-term basis through last year’s Euros.
