Vidaamuyarchi: After Trisha, Arjun, actor Ajith’s character named revealed

Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith in the lead is an upcoming Tamil language road thriller based on Jonathan Mastow’s Breakdown (1997). Vidaamuyarchi directed by Magizh Thirumeni releases in theaters on February 6, 2025 and is a Lyca Productions venture. 

In a recent print interview, director Magizh Thirumeni has revealed that actor Ajith’s character in Vidaamuyarchi is named Arjun, a detail so far kept under wraps. Interestingly, Ajith’s debut character in Amaravathi (1993) was named Arjun. Since then Ajith has played an onscreen Arjun only once in the H Vinoth directed Valimai (2022). 

Vidaamuyarchi also stars Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Aarav among others. Trisha’s character name was the first to be revealed from the movie, and the Vidaamuyarchi trailer confirmed that Trisha plays Kayal, Ajith’s estranged wife. 

Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra are the other couple in Vidaamuyarchi, and the film’s trailer revealed that actor Arjun’s character is named Rakshith. Vidaamuyarchi‘s plot revolves around the abduction of Trisha’s character Kayal, forcing Ajith’s character Arjun to retrace her steps leading upto her missing in the remote deserts of Azerbaijan. 

How Ajith uncovers a criminal network in the process, and what villainous part does actor Arjun’s character Rakshith have in it forms the rest of the story. The expected Vidaamuyarchi runtime is 154.19 minutes.
