Virat Kohli to play final round match against Railways, added to 20-man Delhi squad
Virat Kohli is all set to feature for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy after the 36-year-old was added to the squad for the final round match against Railways starting January 30.
The Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Monday announced the final list of players for the match to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. According to news reports, Kohli will join the squad on Tuesday in Delhi.
It remains to be seen if Kohli takes over the captaincy from Ayush Badoni.
The talismanic batter was seen practicing with former India player and coach Sanjay Bangar last week ahead of the domestic fixture.
India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was a part of the Delhi squad during the side’s last match against Saurashtra but was excluded from the team for the final group stage match.
KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja are the other India internationals who will feature in the final group-stage round of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season.
