WTA Rankings: Australian Open champion Madison Keys, Paula Badosa return to Top 10

USA’s Madison Keys returned to Top 10 in the latest WTA Rankings released on Monday after clinching her maiden Grand Slam title.

Keys defeated two-time defending Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 in the Australian Open final in Melbourne on Sunday. The American moved up seven spots to match her career-high ranking of seven.

Spain’s Paula Badosa, former World No. 2, also came back into Top 10 after her run to the semifinals where she lost to Sabalenka.

2023 runner-up Elena Rybakina, moved up two spots to fifth despite her fourth-round loss to Keys while Qinwen Zheng, last year’s runner-up, slipped three spots to eighth after being eliminated in the second round.

Elsewhere in the Top 100, Croatia’s Donna Vekic (17th), Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva (20th), Serbia’s Olga Danilovic (41st), USA’s Ashlyn Krueger (50th), Dutchwoman Suzan Lamers (67th), Germany’s Eva Lys (91st) and Australia’s Kimberly Birrell (95th) reached new career-high rankings.

Ankita Raina – 295 (drops nine spots)

Shrivalli Bhamidipaty – 332 (drops two spots)

Vaidehi Chaudhari – 398 (dropped 12 spots)
