Vidaamuyarchi countdown posters send Ajith fans in a gripe

Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar in the lead releases on February 6, 2025. Lyca Productions, the banner behind the movie started a countdown from day 10 till Vidaamuyarchi’s release, and released the Vidaamuyarchi countdown posters. While Ajith looks extraordinarily suave in the latest Vidaamuyarchi posters, Ajith Kumar fans are in a gripe. ‘This is first look material’, seems to be a common catchphrase with the Ajith fans in the last two days. Vidaamuyarchi, based on Breakdown (1997) tells the story of a single man who ventures into the remote deserts of Azerbaijan in search of his missing ex-wife. Vidaamuyarchi first look therefore was of Ajith walking down a long road in the middle of a desert with a duffle bag in his hand. 

The first look poster did become subject of widespread memes at the time of its release. Fans had expressed disappointment using road thriller related puns stating, “Lyca going miles and above to disappoint us”. 

Now, Ajith fans are calling back to the disappointment they faced with Vidaamuyarchi first look with the newly released posters and other promo material, some of which they think could have passed for a ‘fire first look’. 

Vidaamuyarchi written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni also stars Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, Aarav, among others. Vidaamuyarchi publicity design is by Gopi Prasanna.
