Aussie batter Josh Inglis struck a Test hundred on debut against Sri Lanka on day 2 of the first Test in Galle on Thursday. He reached the three-figure mark in just 90 balls.
The Yorkshire-born right-hander from Western Australia dominated the Lankan attack from ball one. He eventually fell for 102 off 93 balls.
The last three Australians to score a century on Test debut were all from Western Australia: Adam Voges against the West Indies in 2015, Shaun Marsh against Sri Lanka in 2011, and Marcus North against South Africa in 2009.
Earlier, Usman Khawaja became the first Aussie batter to score a double hundred in Sri Lanka. He fell for 232.
