Title Dispute Between ‘Parasakthi’ and ‘Sakthi Murugan’ Amicably Resolved

A potential title dispute between two Tamil films—Vijay Antony’s ‘Sakthi Thirumugan’ and Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Parasakthi’—has been peacefully resolved.

On Wednesday, the titles of both films were officially announced. Vijay Antony’s film, directed by Arun Prabhu, was named Sakthi Thirumugan in Tamil and Parasakthi in Telugu. Meanwhile, director Sudha Kongara’s upcoming period film, starring Sivakarthikeyan, was titled Parasakthi in both Tamil and Telugu.

To avoid any confusion, Dawn Pictures’ Akash Baskaran and Vijay Antony have now finalized the naming. Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film will retain the title ‘Parasakthi’ in both Tamil and Telugu, while Vijay Antony’s 25th film will be called ‘Sakthi Thirumagan’ in Tamil and ‘Parasakthi’ in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, with the Telugu title to be announced soon.

On Thursday, Akash Baskaran shared a picture with Vijay Antony, and his production house reposted it with the message: “United we stand.”

Vijay Antony also responded warmly, tweeting, “Welcome Akash.
