Vidaamuyarchi Trailer BTS feat. Ajith Kumar, Magizh Thirumeni

Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar in the lead is an upcoming road thriller scheduled to release on February 6, 2025. The movie based on the Hollywood film Breakdown (1997) is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni in Tamil. Vidaamuyarchi was shot extensively in Azerabaijan, and now the makers have unveiled the behind-the-scenes of the shots that appeared in the film’s trailer. 

A Lyca Productions venture, Vidaamuyarchi has been constantly mired in rumours surrounding its production and release delay. Film’s director Magizh Thirumeni has admitted via interviews that he was made aware of Vidaamuyarchi‘s postponement from Pongal release only hours before the official announcement from makers. 

At that time, Vidaamuyarchi was said to be facing copyright clearance issues from Breakdown makers, and Magizh Thirumeni had spoken about how the film delay had disappointed both him and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. Moreover the Vidaamuyarchi release push had caused a domino ripple in the Tamil film industry, causing many medium and small budget films to re-adjust their release dates.

Amidst all this, talks of a supposed clash between actor Ajith and director Magizh Thirumeni has also spread like wildfire, with the grapevine suggesting the same as the cause of Vidaamuyarchi production delay. Despite director Magizh clarifying of no such issues with his lead star in multiple interviews, the rumours show no signs of dying down especially around the film’s release. 

Vidaamuyarchi trailer BTS video seems hopeful of putting those rumours to rest, given that it shows the behind-the-camera camaraderie between Ajith and Magizh Thirumeni. The video was also tweeted by Ajith’s manager Suresh Chandra Menon with the caption,
