January transfer news: Carlos Alcaraz set to join Everton on deadline day – reports
Carlos Alcaraz is set to join Premier League club Everton on January transfer deadline day.
According to reports in English media, Alcaraz, namesake of four-time Grand Slam winning Spanish tennis player, will join The Toffees on loan deal from Brazilian club Flamengo.
Alcaraz, 22, previously played in the Premier League for Southampton before joining Juventus on loan for the second half of the 2023-24 campaign.
The Argentine started this season with the Saints but joined Flamengo, external later in August for a club-record £16m fee. He now looks set to make a quick return to England.
The Brazilian club announced on its official website on Friday that it had reached an agreement to loan Alcaraz to Everton.
