STR 51: Silambarasan TR’s character, film genre, release plans revealed
Marking actor Silambarasan TR’s 42nd birthday today, the line-up of the actor’s upcoming movies was officially confirmed. Following STR 48 aka Thug Life, which releases on June 5, 2025, Silambarasan TR’s movies will be STR 49 (tentative title) with director Ramkumar Balakrishnan and Dawn Pictures, STR 50 (tentative title) with director Desingh Periasamy under his own production, and STR 51 (tentative title) with director Ashwath Marimuthu and AGS Entertainment.

STR 51‘s genre is fantasy commercial entertainer, revealed an X post from film’s director Ashwath Marimuthu. A new character poster was unveiled with Silambarasan TR as ‘God of Love’. The poster also confirmed that STR 51 is scheduled to release in Summer, 2026.
STR 51 is AGS Entertainment’s 27th production and hence also goes by AGS 27. While an official announcement on STR 51‘s cast and crew awaits, it has been revealed that Sony Music South holds the STR 51 audio rights.
