Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan became the highest wicket-taker in T20s after his two-wicket haul for MI Cape Town against Paarl Royal in an SA20 playoff match on Tuesday.

With this Rashid’s T20 wickets tally rose to 633, taking him past West Indies’ Dwayne Bravo, who had 631 scalps.

While 161 of Rashid’s T20 wickets came from international cricket, the rest came from various franchise and domestic leagues, including the Indian Premier League, where he represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.

The leg-spinner’s 633 wickets have come at an incredible average of 18.07, while giving away just 6.49 runs per over.

On Tuesday, Rashid’s brace powered MI Cape Town to a 39-run win, as it secured a spot in the final.
