India and England will square off in the first of three One-Day Internationals at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday.

England has already named its playing XI for the series opener. Joe Root will be making a comeback to the format for the first time since the ODI World Cup, while pacer Mark Wood has been rested.
For India, a question mark hangs over the wicketkeeper’s slot, with Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul in the race for a spot in the playing XI. The host will also need to pick two out of its three spin-bowling all-rounders – Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar.
