Coolie release this Independence day: Rajinikanth filmmakers officially announce
As reported by MovieCrow earlier today, it is now official that Coolie‘s release date is August 14, 2025. The Superstar Rajinikanth film, which is touted to be an action thriller, hits theater screens for the Independence day weekend, ensuring a solid four day opening starting Thursday, August 14.
A Sun Pictures production, Coolie marks the debut collaboration with Rajinikanth with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie has Anirudh Ravichander for music, who is yet to begin the post production work on the film.
Coolie stars Rajinikanth as Deva, Nagarjuna as Simon, Upendra as Kaleesha, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, Sathyaraj as Rajasekar, Shruti Haasan as Preethi, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, Pooja Hegde in a special song appearance, and Aamir Khan in cameo.
Post its theatrical run, Coolie‘s OTT release will be on on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform.
