Well known Japanese voice actor Takahiro Sakurai, plays Giyu Tomioka in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle. During the film’s promotional leg in India, Takahiro Sakurai told The Hindustan Times that he is a ‘big Rajinikanth fan’.
Since Takahiro Sakurai has voiced for internationally known anime characters like Cloud Strife, Suzaku Kururugi, and Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson in Twilight, TENET, and Batman movies, he was asked if he wished to dub for Rajinikanth as well, when the Superstar’s movies release in Japan.
Takahiro Sakurai was quoted as stating, “I don’t think I will be able to. Rajinikanth has a very solid presence and a deep voice. I don’t think my voice will suit him,..I would love to know actors from India whom my voice could suit”.
