Jana Nayagan: OTT release date of Vijay’s last film!

Jana Nayagan: OTT release date of Vijay’s last film!

Jana Nayagan starring actor Vijay in the lead is an upcoming Tamil movie scheduled to release on January 9, 2026 for Pongal. Actor Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, has been touted to be an official adaptation of the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari (2023).

Post its theatrical run, Bhagavanth Kesari made its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video, and is currently available to stream on both Prime Video and JioHotstar. Now, Jana Nayagan‘s OTT rights have also been bagged by Amazon Prime Video for a record price of Rs. 105 Cr. (including GST).

Bhagavanth Kesari theatrically released on October 19, 2023 and the Telugu film’s OTT release date on Amazon Prime Video was November 24, 2023 i.e. the 30th day of its release. Therefore expected Jana Nayagan OTT release date is February 7, 2026.

However buzz has it that Jana Nayagan‘s OTT premiere is planned only 8 weeks of its release, so the other possible Jana Nayagan OTT release date is March 7, 2026. It is worth mentioning here that since the OTT boom in India, all of Vijay’s films have been maintained a window of 16 days to 6 weeks between their theatrical run and digital release.

Among Vijay’s films that have made their premiere on Amazon Prime Video, Master (2021) had the shortest theater to OTT window of 16 days owing to the pandemic, and Varisu (2023) had the biggest window of 6 weeks.
