J&K manages to defend from Kerala’s bowling unit. After a fighting effort, it ends the day on 228 for eight. 

Karun Nair’s hundred helped Vidrabha to a comfortable position. VID ends the day with 264 on the board. He will resume on Day 2 with Harsh Dubey. 

Gujarat off to a strong start. Panchal and Aarya add 21 runs in the first five overs as the session comes to an end. 

Basil N P joining in on the wicket-taking fun. Abid Mushtaq is beaten by a zipper that crashes into the stumps. J&K loses its eighth wicket. 

Kerala takes the second new ball and hands it to Nidheesh. Strikes immediately to complete his fifer. Lone edges the ball to the slip fielder, Sachin Baby. 

Fine knock by Karun Nair as he brings up his 22nd First-Class century in 171 balls, smacking 14 fours and one six.

Mumbai ends the day on 278 for the loss of eight wickets. Mulani and Kotian’s partnership helped the defending champion crawl out of the jaws of Haryana. Kotian will resume with Mohit Avasthi on Day 2. 

Jayant Yadav removes Shams Mulani on 91! A simple return catch to the bowler as he was trying to work it towards the on side.

Saurashtra bowled out for 216. Bishnoi, who was handed the ball late into the innings, wrapped it up for Gujarat. A simple catch taken at short leg removes Kanbi. 

Sarwate delivers for Kerala. Lotra looked to go big but mistimed the shot as the crashed into the off stump. Brings an end to a 50-run stand between Lotra and Muzaffar. 

Ajith Ram gets the crucial wicket of Akshay Wadkar. He comes forward to defend this delivery, does not cover the line and hands a faint edge to Jagadeesan behind the stumps.

Next over, Gaja gets his man. Unadkat gets a faint edge that lands in the keeper’s gloves. And another wicket in the same over as he hits the bullseye, removes Dodiya for a duck. 

Saurashtra manages to get past the 200-run mark. Unadkat and Vasavada at the crease, slowly rebuilding the innings. 

Karun and Wadkar helping Vidarbha get back into the game. The pair now share a 50-run partnership as Vidarbha crosses the 200-run mark. 

An eventful over as Saurashtra captain Unadkat escapes a close call. Struck on the pads by Gaja but Gujarat’s review went in vain. Next ball, he smacks it over mid-on for a four. Vasavada joins him with a boundary as well. 

An attritional period of play from the J&K batters. Sahil Lotra is on 31 off 106 deliveries. Lone Nasir Muzaffar has dropped anchor since coming on, he’s on 20 off 58. Their partnership is now worth 55 runs.

Arpit Vasavada and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja were adding up a crucial seventh-wicket partnership. But captain Chintan Gaja forces Jadeja to hole out at cover on 22. The partnership ends on 50 runs. 

A 100-partnership between Kotian and Mulani. Kotian gets to his fifty as well in 79 deliveries.

Some relief for Vidarbha. Karun Nair has stood strong against TN. Brings up his fifty in 106 balls. 

Jaymeet takes a second wicket in his very next over. Gajjar looked to play it into the off side but got a thick edge that flew to first slip. Saurashtra starting to collapse again Gujarat. 

A wicket for Tamil Nadu. Mohamed Ali lures Yash Rathod out of the crease, beats him and N. Jagadeesan completes the stumping. Captain Akshay Wadkar in at No. 7.

Nidheesh gets his fourth wicket as Kanhaiya Wadhawan holes out at short cover just two short of his fifty.

101 runs in the second session for Mumbai at the cost of just 1 wicket. Shams Mulani with 58 and Tanush Kotian with 44. Their partnership is now 89 runs and has put up a fight against Haryana.

Nidheesh finds his fourth wicket. A good catch at short extra cover cuts short Wadhawan’s innings, only two short of a fifty. 

Saurashtra in big trouble. Prerak Mankad is out for a duck and that’s three quick wickets takes by Gujarat. Jaymeet Patel with his first scalp. 

Saurashtra loses a big wicket in Jani. The batter, who seemed a bit shaky since the start of the second session, nicked one to the keeper. Gujarat skipper Gaja with a wicket-maiden. 

Wadhawan and Lotra rebuild the innings for J&K. They are nearing a 50-run stand and the former is inching closer to a half-century as well. 

Vijay Shankar with the breakthrough – gets his second wicket. Maleswar tried to play a cross-bat shot but only got a top edge. The Vidarbha batter walks back for a 119-ball 75. 

Mulani and Kotian holding the fort for Mumbai. They are closing in on a crucial 50-run partnership. 

Sheldon Jackson falls for 14. He is hit on the pads by Siddharth Desai and the umpire gives it. A review goes in vain as ball tracking went Gujarat’s way. 

Danish Malewar ended the first session on 48, and he completes a well-deserved half century. He is batting on 57 and has a set-looking Karun Nair on 33 at the other end. Their partnership is worth 79 now and Vidarbha could hope this can at least until 200 runs.

Mulani and Tanush Kotian continue to tick Mumbai forward. The former survived an lbw appeal and a DRS a few overs ago. Kotian has been beaten a few times too.

Kerala strikes immediately in the second session. Basil Thampi castles Paras Dogra, who has to walk back for a disappointing 14. 

Shardul Thakur departs on 15! He looks to work a length delivery away through the on side, ends up closing the face too early. A simple return catch to Anuj Thakral.

Jani brings up his half-century in 92 deliveries. The opening batter has stood strong for Saurashtra against Gujarat. 

Pujara departs for 26. Mistimes the shot and spoons it to short extra cover. A 50-run stand between him and Jani comes to an end as Saurashtra loses its second wicket.

100 up for Saurashtra in the next six balls. Sheldon Jackson joins Jani. 

Jani gets into the 40s in style as he welcomes spinner Siddharth Desai with a six over long off. Gives away another run by overstepping. 

Nidheesh in his element today. Yawer Hassan’s off stump is blown away and that is the third wicket down for J&K. 

Danish Malewar looking confident. He is on 40 off 47 deliveries and has picked up seven fours too. Karun Nair has been vigilant in the early exchanges at crease, batting on 2 runs.

Jani and Pujara are beginning to find their rhythm. After the loss of Harvik, Saurashtra is back on track, finding easy boundaries and keeping the scoreboard ticking. 

Ajinkya Rahane falls on 31. He gets a thick outside edge off Anshul Kamboj and the keeper does the rest. Shardul Thakur with another rescue mission on his shoulders.

J&K loses its second wicket. Vivrant Sharma was looking shaky throughout and finally nicked one to the wicketkeeper. Nidheesh strikes again for Kerala.

Gujarat finally get a breakthrough. Nagwaswalla gets Harvik Desai to edge the good length ball to the keeper. Brings an end to the 45-run stand with Chirag Jani as Saurashtra loses its first wicket. 

In comes Pujara. 

The conditions have eased up a little for batting. Sai Kishore operating from one end now. Dhruv Shorey is batting on 26 from 50 deliveries and has set himself up for a big score. Danish Malewar on 13 off 12.

Dube is caught at gully off Ajit Chahal. He had just driven the bowler through covers and is lured into another drive, gets a thick edge to the fielder at gully. The partnership is cut on 40. Shams Mulani is the new batter in.

A bit of stability for Mumbai in this partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube. The latter has been aggressive, getting to 23 off just 26 deliveries. Rahane batting on 13 off 24 deliveries. The partnership is worth 34 runs.

Aditya Thakare manages 5 off 17 balls. He is caught at mid on. Danish Malewar joins Dhruv Shorey now.

A huge appeal for caught behind by Kerala. Vivrant’s bat was awfully close to the ball but ultra edge showed no spike. Kerala loses a review. 

Kerala removes J&K’s top run-getter Shubham Khajuria for only 14 runs. The batter gets an outside edge that goes straight to skipper Sachin Baby at second slip. Nidheesh picks the first wicket. 

A reprieve for Shivam Dube. He is given lbw off Anuj Thakral but reviews the decision. The ball tracker shows the ball going down the leg stump.

An out-of-the-box move from Vidarbha as it promotes Aditya Thakare to No. 3. A lot of movement for Sonu Yadav and M Mohammed as Vidarbha has posted just six runs from as many overs. Quite a few play-and-misses from Dhruv Shorey.

Harvik Desai smacks Nagwasalla for 10 runs in six balls to take Saurashtra to 26 in five overs. His partner on the other side, Chirag Jani, finds no run in the next.
