Gujarat off to a strong start. Panchal and Aarya add 21 runs in the first five overs as the session comes to an end.

Nidheesh finds his fourth wicket. A good catch at short extra cover cuts short Wadhawan’s innings, only two short of a fifty.

Saurashtra loses a big wicket in Jani. The batter, who seemed a bit shaky since the start of the second session, nicked one to the keeper. Gujarat skipper Gaja with a wicket-maiden.
Wadhawan and Lotra rebuild the innings for J&K. They are nearing a 50-run stand and the former is inching closer to a half-century as well.
Vijay Shankar with the breakthrough – gets his second wicket. Maleswar tried to play a cross-bat shot but only got a top edge. The Vidarbha batter walks back for a 119-ball 75.
Mulani and Kotian holding the fort for Mumbai. They are closing in on a crucial 50-run partnership.

Danish Malewar ended the first session on 48, and he completes a well-deserved half century. He is batting on 57 and has a set-looking Karun Nair on 33 at the other end. Their partnership is worth 79 now and Vidarbha could hope this can at least until 200 runs.
