Rodrygo’s delivery goes through everyone and Oblak almost misses it but somehow keeps hold of the ball.

Ceballos’s shot is straight at Oblak. It came through a crowd and the Atleti goalie catches it well.

Alvarez’s shot is saved by Courtois. The ARgentine was always stretching to reach to the ball. It was a good move by the visiting side against the run of the play.

Alvarez earns a corner for Atleti but Simeone’s side fails to take advantage of the set piece. 

Bellingham hits the woodwork. His close range header hits the bar. Real Madrid fans are turning up the volume in the second half. 

Kylian Mbappe scores his 16th goal in La Liga and brings Los Blancos back in the match. 

Rodrygo puts in a brilliant cut back for Bellingham whose shot is blocked but falls kindly to the Frenchman, who makes no mistake from the edge of the six yard box. 

Galan gets a yellow card for grabbing Rodrygo’s shirt and preventing him from running away. 

Mbappe causing early problem for the Atleti backline. 

The second half is under way. Real is trailing by a goal at home. 

Valvarde’s rocket is blocked by the Atleti wall and the referee brings the first half to an end.

Langlet brings down Rodrygo with a brash challenge and gets a yellow card. Real gets a free-kick from a promising position.

Atleti goes on a counter and Lino almost scores from it. Tchouameni with a brilliant tackle closes him down. 

Vinicius is having a poor game for Real. He’s loosing the ball in dangerous areas and failing to find his teammates. 

De Paul with a strong challenge on Bellingham. 

Julian ALvarez scores from the spot to give Atleti the lead. 

The Argentine striker calmly slots it straight through the middle as Courtois dived to his left. 

The referee points to the spot and Atleti gets a penalty.

Atlei’s Lino is down with an injury. It seems like a foot injury, he’s receiving treatment on the pitch. 

After consultation with VAR, the referee goes to screen for a potential penalty against Real Madrid. Another officiating controversy brewing. 

Gimenez’s last ditch tackle denies Vinicius from breaking the deadlock.
