Champions Trophy 2025: Mohammed Shami becomes fastest Indian bowler to reach 200 ODI wickets
Mohammed Shami became the fastest Indian bowler to pick 200 One-Day International wickets during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh in Dubai on Thursday.
Shami picked three wickets to reach the milestone in his 103rd innings, overtaking Ajit Agarkar’s record of reaching the mark in 133 innings.
The 34-year-old is also the second quickest to pick 200 ODI wickets, behind Australia’s Mitchell Starc (102 innings).
