Champions Trophy 2025: Virat Kohli breaks Tendulkar’s record to become fastest to reach 14,000 ODI runs

Virat Kohli became the fastest player to score 14,000 runs in ODI format during the India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 match in Dubai on Sunday.

Kohli is the third batter and the second Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to reach the milestone.

He reached the 14,000-run mark in his 287th inning, overtaking Tendulkar’s record of 350 innings. Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka took 378 innings to get to the mark.

1) Sachin Tendulkar – 18,426 runs in 452 innings

2) Kumar Sangakkara – 14234 runs in 380 innings

3) Virat Kohli – 14085 runs in 287 innings
