Superstar Rajinikanth’s August 14 release Coolie is all set to complete three weeks of theatrical run worldwide. One domestic market Coolie has done exceptionally well is Karnataka, and the movie has grossed Rs. 44. 5 Cr. in 18 days in the regional state.
AV Media Consultancy, and Jayanna Films bought Coolie‘s Karnataka distribution from Sun Pictures for Rs. 22 Cr, and crossed the break-even mark with a 14-day gross of Rs. 43.48 Cr. With its 18-day box-office, Coolie continues its position as the third-highest grossing Tamil movie in Karnataka, behind the other two Rajinikanth starrers Jailer (2023), and 2.0 (2018).
Coolie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, also stars Kannada actors Upendra, Rachita Ram, and has Anirudh Ravichander for music. Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Shruthi Haasan, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Pooja Hegde in a dance cameo, are the other actors in the film.
