Dhanush’s Emotional Track “Poyivaa Nanba” from Pan-Indian Film Kuberaa Released in Five Languages
First song from the upcoming pan-Indian film Kuberaa, titled “Poyivaa Nanba”, has been officially released. Sung by Dhanush and composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the song is available in five languages: Tamil (“Poyivaa Nanba”), Telugu (“Poyiraa Mama”), Malayalam (“Poyivaa Nanba”), Kannada (“HogiBaa Geleya”), and Hindi (“Jaake Aana Yaara”).
Though the tune is lively and catchy, the promo reveals an emotional twist — it’s actually a farewell song, where Dhanush sings at a friend’s funeral. This unexpected element gives the song a deeper meaning.
Kuberaa is directed by Sekhar Kammula and stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. The film is set to release on June 20, 2025.
The film’s visuals are handled by Niketh Bommi, with Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre as production designers. Costumes are by Kavya Sriram and Poorvaa Jain, and the screenplay is co-written by Chaithanya Pingali. The film is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sree Venkateswara Cinemas.
