How Madharaasi happened: Sivakarthikeyan’s emotional journey from 7aum Arivu & Maan Karate
Madharaasi starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead releases on September 5, 2025, and the movie marks the Tamil star actor’s maiden collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss. At the recently televised Madharaasi audio launch event, Sivakarthikeyan shared his emotional journey from being a script-writer for the audio launch function of AR Murugadoss directed 7 Aum Arivu (2011), then acting in the AR Murugadoss production Maan Karate (2014), to now doing a film with the director himself.
A psychological action thriller, Madharaasi produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies also stars Krithi Shetty, Biju Menon, Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal, among others. The U/A censored movie has Anirudh Ravichander for music, and comes with a runtime of 2 hours 47 minutes 33 seconds.
