IND vs PAK, Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma becomes sixth opener to cross 9000-run mark

Rohit Sharma crossed the 9000-run mark as an opener during the India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday.

Rohit joined an elite list of six openers including two Indians – Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly – who have scored 9000 or more.

Ahead of the match, Rohit needed just one more run to achieve the feat.

In the previous match against Bangladesh, Rohit had completed 11000 runs in ODI cricket, becoming the second fastest batter to reach the milestone after Virat Kohli.
